golf and art

My friend took me to an art exhibit last week.  We had a blast.  If you are near Salt Lake, it is at the Salt Lake Arts Center, right next to the Salt Palace and Abravenel Hall.  I think it goes until Sept.
It was an art exhibit of an 18hole min-golf course.  You receive a ball and a club next to #1 and you get to mini-golf your way through 18 holes.  Each hole was by a different local artist, and very individual.
Each piece was so cool.  Everything from geometrics, to noise, to mechanical dis-advantages.  All told a story (a few I didn't understand).
Some were hole-in-ones and others, well, we cheated.  I laughed, a lot.  I don't know if it was my friend, the nice people I met, or the joyous atmosphere... probably a combination of all three.  I have never laughed at art like I laughed that night!

and mustard

Hot dogs.  That is what the ketch-up and mustard is all about.  I really want a hot dog.  Been craving one for days...  And yes, I have wandered around my house singing the Armor hot-dog jungle just to see if M will get the hint.  I'm not sure I want him to, as h-d's are so bad for you.  But they taste so good...
So, the other night as M and I were making dinner, there was a large ker-chunk and the house shook.  We looked out the windows and around the neighborhood, but we found nothing and went back to dinner.  The next morning as M went to leave for work, he finds out the garage door won't open.  I crawl out of bed and pad down to the garage door, look out and see broken springs.  The big ker-chunk was the garage door falling 2 inches to the concrete.
Now this is all fine a dandy but the big noise and subsequent looking at out the windows made me realize I'm going to be the crazy old lady who spies on the world everyday, and probably calls the cops every time I see a stranger.  Crap!
